Communication with Owners/Charterers for payment of hires, Freight etc.

  Payment of hires to Owners/ sub-charterer(TC –Relet voyages).

  Voyage instruction to Master .

  Appointment of Weather routing company.

  Acts as final authority for signing and releasing the B/L.

  Reviewing the stow plan provided by Master and advise him to optimize the intake.

  Get approval from shippers , receivers on the intended stow plan.

  Monitoring the daily performance of the vessel by monitoring the noon reports and follow up with Weather routing company.

  Port Agency appointment and daily follow up with them to ensure smooth operations at ports.

  Follow up with agents to ensure any damages to vessel are repaired by following up with stevedore company.

  Handling of all documentation related to Voyage such as Issuance of B/L, Freight Invoicing, laytime calculation settlement, hire statements, issuance of LOI.

  Monitoring the vessel performance during the voyage and raise claim with Owners, charterers.

  Negotiating the agency fees with the agents before appointing them and making payment of PORT DA.

  Appointing the on-hire/ off hire surveyors and follow up on damage claims if any with Owners and Charterers.

  Carrying out route planning for the vessel and decide the speed for the voyage, carrying out slow steaming calculation for the voyage.

  Monitoring the condition of cargo holds for next intended voyage and instruct the master for carrying out cleaning.

  Arranging chemicals and hold cleaning equipment’s for the vessel as required.

  Arranging the UWHC for the vessel based on the performance of the vessel in current voyage and port stay.

  Bunker planning and booking bunker stem for the vessel by analyzing the fwd bunker curve and expected prices in future.

  Appointing BQS Surveyors, resolve any issues during the bunker operations.

  Reporting the weekly variance to Senior Management team.

  Approval of all PORT DA’s and authorizing the payments.

  Approval and payment of all Towage cost.

  Final authority to deal with any Owners/ charterers claim for the Cargo damage, Under performance of the vessel etc.

  Settlement of post fixture hire with Owners and Charterers.

  Advising the customers buyers on Freight revision for change of destination/qty etc.

  Providing feedback to Commercial team on port restrictions, port DA and anticipated additional cost such as HRA transit, suez canal transit costs so that Freight calculation can be done most effectively.
